Author's Note:

My work comes from wanting to immortalize moments and the people I love. It means being there for the perfect moment, because every moment is the right time.

I've produced work for companies, organizations, universities, restaurants, and individuals. My portfolio and life has largely centered around the humanities and humanity. The life I've created and the work I've done are both incomplete and nostalgic. I hope one day to finish this project and you're there.

I'm Mariana; mother to a cat, daughter to Chilean immigrants, sister to my beloved siblings, and Tía to my nephews, who I do it all for. I'm adamant about leaving behind what's comfortable and exploring new options, angles, ideas, and food.

I graduated from the College of Communication at Boston University with a degree in Film and Television Production, and a concentration in Psychology, honing a strong creative intuition while studying "abroad" in Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California.

In the eleven years since, I have worked with diverse teams and media to strengthen my storytelling skills through videography, photography, sound engineering, multimedia production, instructional design -- and even cooked in a few Michelin-starred restaurants, just to spice things up. Currently, I am working full-time while pursuing my Master's degree. 
 

I thrive on connecting with people and learning about different cultures, though vehemently identify as an outgoing introvert. When I don't have a camera by my side, I'll have my guitar in my hand or a song ready to belt out and embarrass the nearest standing friend or stranger. Few things are better than a good meal or when a salsa song comes on.
